The Great Root Beer Taste Off – July 20, 2014

The Great Root Beer Taste Off will finally settle the question on everyone’s mind – what IS the best root beer? Tasters will have more than 75 types of root beers, birch beers and sarsaparillas to sample and make their own decision. In addition, guests can enjoy music and soda fun in the parking lot and stock up on all of Galco’s beverage offerings.

As always, Galco’s Summer Soda Tasting 4 is a fundraiser for the Friends of the Southwest Museum Coalition that is working to re-open Los Angeles’ first museum as well as the Casa de Adobe to display portions of the museum’s spectacular collections.

In between soda tastings, guests can enjoy a variety of entertainment featuring local talent including: The Mele ‘Ohana Ukulele Group, singer Genesee Hall and blues by Greger Walnum. Kid’s activities, a chance to vote for your favorite soda via YELP and other surprises are in store for the event.

The event is 5-8 p.m.

To buy all-inclusive $12 ticket ($5 for children ages 5-11) and more information visit Friends of the Southwest Museum
